As the communications expert of AIM, Jeff Battcher brings an extraordinary combination of experience in the sports and media industries. After earning multiple letters as a quarterback and pitcher at the University of Utah, Jeff spent seven years as the sports director and anchor at ABC affiliate WGXA-TV in Macon, Georgia. Jeff also founded Macon's first full-service sports marketing firm - Battcher Sports Marketing - at which he devised and implemented advertising, public relations, and marketing programs for area colleges and businesses.
As world attention turned to Atlanta for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games, Jeff was tasked by BellSouth Mobility to manage key aspects of its Olympic sponsorship. After spectacular success on this project, Jeff rose through the corporate ranks at BellSouth Corporation, ultimately serving as the Vice President responsible for the company’s worldwide communications, reporting directly to the CEO.
In 2007, Jeff was named Delta Air Lines’ Vice President of Global Communications, overseeing Delta’s worldwide media and crisis communications. Jeff's last stop prior to the founding of AIM was as Senior Vice-President of Corporate Communications for Level 3 Communications, a telecom provider that carries one-third of all worldwide Internet traffic. Jeff's strategies resulted in a meteoric increase in both positive media mentions and revenue streams. Jeff is now consulted regularly by Fortune 500 companies, as well as leading public relations, advertising, and marketing firms.
Jeff is married to the former Janet Allman, one of the winningest women’s basketball coaches in Georgia history. In 2016, on the basis of his playing career and philanthropic work, Jeff was inducted into the Macon Sports Hall of Fame, making him and Janet the only married inductees in the Hall’s history.
